Local Resource Circulation System
Minamisanriku Town Office and Amita Corporation will collect organic wastes, such as kitchen waste and septic tank sludge, generated from both municipal and business sectors and produce Biogas and liquid fertilizer through fermentation process.
Biogas would be utilized for electric power generation, and liquid fertilizer would be sprayed onto farmlands near by the plant. This business is going to greatly accelerate the resource circulation in the local community.
Minamisanriku Town Sustainable Circulation Vision
Amita group has been designing comprehensive resource circulation system suitable in small and medium size communities. And we are conducting similar projects in Palau and Cat Ba Island (Vietnam), in order to develop sustainable social infrastructures.
Our group continuously challenges and assists in designing resource recycle and self-energy circulation model for small and medium size communities without relying on 20th century type of mega size infrastructures, such as a nuclear power plant and huge sewage treatment plant, over the world.
